ETS Trainer Skills Workshop(TSW) - The Art of Inclusion

As one of the horizontal priorities of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, inclusion is a prevalent topic in youth work training activities and deserves heightened attention.

Description

The ETS Trainer Skills Workshop(TSW) on inclusions intends to support trainers in the youth work field to reflect their own inclusion experiences and practices in the training context. By learning from and with each other, the activity aims at empowering youth work trainers to implement an inclusive mindset in their practice. With that in mind, the Trainers’ Skills Workshop opens a peer learning space for experienced trainers in the youth work field in connection to the ETS Competence Model for Trainers Working Internationally.

Intentions

  • Explore key concepts of inclusion when working as a trainer
  • Explore inclusive/ accessible language & intercultural realities
  • Mapping out challenges as a trainer related to inclusion and diversity
  • Give space to trainers for peer learning and intervision
  • Sharing of inclusion practices
  • Create open learning spaces for individual exploration

Target group and team of trainers

The course is for trainers with experience in the field of youth, who wish to develop their competence regarding particular areas or skills and transfer the learning to their youth work practice.

We do not wish to set a strict minimum number of years of experience or a number of training courses but rather focus on the need for applicants to have the capacity to reflect on their practice as trainers, which generally require several years of regular practice.

Team

The team of trainers consists of Gabi Steinprinz, Morgaine Green and Laura Alčiauskaitė.
